Which widgets can I add?
Nine topics: the weather (6 layouts, from a one-line banner to a table of towns), air quality and pollen, earthquakes (latest with a map, list, map, ticker), beach day and sea temperature, sea water quality with a map, the UV index, mountain peaks and passes, measured weather at Tirana and Pristina airports, and warnings. Pick the topic in the tabs above.
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no fee, sign-up or advertising. We only ask that the small link under the widget stays visible.
Where does the data come from, and how exact is it?
The weather forecast comes from MET Norway and ECMWF, air, pollen and UV from CAMS (a forecast, not a measurement), earthquakes from EMSC, the sea from Copernicus Marine and water quality from the EEA, airports from METAR/TAF reports. The beach score, hiking day, road risk and how far an earthquake is felt are our own estimates and are labelled so in the widget.
Does it use cookies or tracking?
No. The widget downloads only the small files the chosen topic needs. It sets no cookies and collects nothing about your visitors, so your cookie banner does not need to change.
How often does it update?
Every hour. Earthquakes and airports are read from the source every hour; the widget works out "how long ago" in the visitor's browser and refreshes itself on pages that stay open.
How do I add it to WordPress, Wix or Blogger?
In WordPress use a "Custom HTML" block; in Wix the "Embed HTML" element; in Blogger the "HTML/JavaScript" gadget. Paste the code as it is. Several widgets on one page share the same script.
Can I change the look or the link?
Yes. Pick the type, colours, background, corners, icons and units above. You may reword the link under the widget and add rel="nofollow" to it.
