Climate

Lushnja sits in the heart of the Myzeqe plain, between Fier and Kavaja, on open farmland about 20 km from the sea. Its weather is typical of central Albania's coastal plain: hot, dry summers and mild winters with moderate rain. With about 880 mm a year, Lushnja gets much less rain than northern towns such as Shkodra or Lezha.

Summer

Spring is short and pleasant: about 20°C in April and 25°C in May. October, at about 23°C with cool nights, is also a good time to be outdoors.

The nearest sea is at Divjaka, where the Karavasta lagoon and the pine forest offer shade on hot days. Golem is about 37 km to the north.
