About the mountain
The highest peak in Albania, on the border with North Macedonia, above the Black Drin valley in Dibër. Snow lingers in the gullies into early summer.
Snow usually covers the high summits from November to May. The hiking season runs from June to September; summer afternoons often bring thunderstorms, so start early.
